Question D-Link and Toschiba

Hallo all,

I installed SUSE9.3 on my old laptop Toschiba Tecra8000. However the OS doesn't support my pcmcia network card D-Link DFE-670TXD for the indicators of the card don't blink at all. Following some googled tips googled, I still cannot make it in order. It would be definitely appreciable if anyone of you could offer me some insight for it. Below are the outputs upon issuing dmesg, and lsmod respectively.

to dmesg:

According to D-Link the DFE-670TXD uses the tulip_cb module. Try loading the module i.e.
modprobe tulip_cb

Smile modprobe tulip_cb

Thank you very much for immediate reply

After issuing modprobe tulip_cb,
I got: FATAL: Module tulip_cb not found.

Just now I tried to find such a driver in internet, but failed. On that note, Could you let me know where I could get one. Due to the fact that I am a novice to Linux, could you tell in which directory tulip_cb is ought to be installed, and which config scripts should be modified.

best regards,

win2suse

Smile

Again, thanks for your advice.

Actually I've tried my hand on adding them in the config script, but they seem to fit RedHat instead SUSE.

A file called pcmcia-3.2.8 is claimed to fix this problem. However when I install it, make config/all/install, the path to the source tree of the kernel is required, but I fail to find the correct directory for it.
