Question CPU speed problem...


I tried to install FEDORA CORE3 but when boot from CD I got an error like "CPU Speed can not be adjusted" or "CPU speed Error". What can be the reason and solution for that? Thanks for help...
My hardware:
1.5 Ghz Centrino, 512 MB RAM, 64MB ATI Radeon Graphical Device etc. ...

Your laptop probably doesn't support speedstepping..

otherwise, install like normal and recomile the kernel.

Thinkpad? The ACPI under IBM is a little odd sometimes, its probably trying to load the speedstep module as opposed to the centrino module for acpi based CPU speed scaling.
