Hi, i have a sony vaio machine with centrino running madrake linux 10.2, and im trying to enable the wireless feature so i can get online. So far i havent been very lucky.
Hmmm are you using the onboard wifi ? If so i am sure you need to download ipw2200 and the ieee firmware cos they do not have the driver included in the kernel.
verify if the card is recognized.
if yes, verify if it up.
if yes verify if it has IP and netmask and gateway.
if yes, verify if you ping your AP.
if yes verify if you are autorized to connect AP
if the card is not recognized, load the module.
