Configure a laptop to act as a router

Hi all,

I'm a newbie in Linux world and I always get problems with anything configuration.

I have two laptops A and B:
A has 3 interfaces (2 wired and 1 wireless)
B also has 2 interfaces (1 wired and 1 wireless)
A connects to internet using a wired interface. I want to connect wireless interface on B to wireless interface on A; and wired interface on B to a wired on A. B can simultaneously connect to the Internet using wired and wireless interfaces. You can see the image below for my situation:

I'm confusing how to configure laptop A as a router to forward packets to B.

Thanks for any hints!

What distro are you using, and what have you tried so far?

Hi,

More information! Which distribution and kernel?

Do you want a router or a server? It seems a server would be your better option. Do you want to use laptop 'A' and just provide access with services to 'B'?

Hi all,
Thanks for your participations. I'm using Ubuntu 9.04 - kernel 2.6.28-generic (alpha of course) on my laptop.

I tried to connect B to A using ad-hoc (for wireless interface) and cable for wired interface. I can ping from A to B and vice versa. Now my confusion is how to connect to the internet from B via A.

Kind regards!
