Unhappy Computer shuts down

Hi There
I have a Toshiba laptop and i just performed a Gentoo dual boot with windows xp on my laptop. Everything went good but now that is installed..i was trying to install x server and gnome...and any other emerge command when i give my computer while emerging suddenly shuts off...can anyone please help?

Your laptop is overheating. Did you compile in all the toshiba and acpi extras in the kernel?
You may want to consider setting a high velocity fan against the air vents so it'll stay cooler...

You only need this while compiling...
