Compatible modem for the laptop

Hi,

I've seen some answers regarding this issue but not for modem+laptop. What modem should I buy that works well on Mandrake 9.1? I am not even sure you call these type of modems (PCI, PCIA, etc..) I am not much of a hardware guy

Thanks for your help.

Cheers,

I have been using a Zoom PC card modem for three years. I works great under Linux. You don't need any driver for Mandrake 9.1. It worked well Redhat 7.2, 7.3 , 8.0 and 9.0 as well. Mine works in dual mode k56(?) and V90.
