The laptop you mentioned looks like it was released only very recently. I'm not sure but I doubt there will be full support in Linux, as there hasn't been enough time for drivers to be developed. If you would like to buy a brand new laptop that's compatible (and pre-installed) with Linux, take a look at System 76 or ZaReason.
EDIT: There is also the Librem laptops from Purism.

You're welcome. In that case, try to find a laptop with as many Intel parts as possible. Intel is supported well in Linux. And if you buy brand new, use the newest stable kernel with whatever distribution you use.

Your amazon link link looks like a pretty spiffy unit. I'd just buy it and shoe horn a linux version in it. Pull the Windows drive out and install like a Samsung fast SSD drive. Kernels determine a lot on what works and does not work on a unit.
I guess start with kernel 4.4 and work your way up from there.
Don't settle for a stock kernel out of the box that a live distro gives you. Use it for the install.
Then look around for a newer kernel that is a binary install for your distro of choice.

I've been using this exact model from the last Woot deal. Some quick comments:
Ubuntu Mate (15.10) works great.
No issues with older games. Skyrim (no mods, Win7Pro) runs and is playable at low/medium settings.
The keyboard is very, very nice.
I'm a Trackpoint user (X61, X201) but wanted to give their trackpad a try. It works pretty well and is nicely sized.
My wifi connection hasn't had any issues, but I've read reports of other people with issues downgrading the driver (Win10 -> Win7/8) with a lot of success.
The battery lasts about 4 hours with normal use (internet browsing with occasional videos at medium brightness).
NOTE: If you're using Windows and on battery power, turn off "Vari-Bright" in the Catalyst display settings to allow for maximum brightness.
Overall the speed, build, and input controls are all great, especially for a $200 laptop. The only downside is the screen is dim and washed out. If you only use the 11e-G2, you might not notice it, but if you jump between this and something nicer, it's a bit of an eyesore.
From> can't show the link. woot site I got from redirects too much.
