I just installed redhat linux 9.0 on my compaq 2500 and I am now having trouble getting the cd/dvd and floppy drives to work or even to be recognized..? The installation went pretty well with a few exceptions. Is there any way to just manually put the drives in with out the use of the internet.
Red-Hat wont detect the drivers correctly for certain Compaq drives, and your s sounds like one of them. I never could get mine to work, but it works fine in Mandrake
