hello

i just got a old (450mhz 64mb) laptop, its a compaq notebook 100.
before i try to install linux i will install microsoft windows 98 second edition.

i know NOTHING about laptops and linux (a little about linux but not much)

if i want to install slackware linux 10, will i have problems to install it in this laptop?

two problems:

1- this computer doesnt have a network rj45 card! i really need it to use the internet,etc.
last day i learned that my computer has a "cardbus" (pcmia?) and i found a card that adds 10/100 network! the problem is that the card is 32bit and my system only accepts 16bit cards, i hope that i can find one!!!!!!!
my question is: will it then work in slackware 10?

2- i need to use a external usb 1.0/1 cdrw burner, it works in microsoft windows, will it work in linux?
