Compaq N600c touchpad/button mouse problem
I have a Compaq N600c that is running openSUSE 11.1 and everything works fine except for one major annoyance: I cannot seem to disable the touchpad. I've gone into the BIOS and disabled the touchpad. YaST2 shows two mice: a Synaptics touchpad and an IBM Trackpoint. The Synaptics device is not currently enabled. Despite being disabled in two places, both mice are active.
Has anyone run into this before? Short of getting under the hood and cutting circuit board traces (kidding... I'm not going to that length) what else can I try to disable the touchpad mouse?
