Command to turn off the laptop screen Only

Hi!
I use my laptop with multiscreen. I'm looking for a command to sleep the laptop screen, but ONLY this screen.
I have tried this command but it turn off both, laptop and HDMI screen:
Code:
xset dpms force off
Note: on my laptop, I can do FN+F6 and I get exactly what I want. How can I find the command sent by FN+F6? Or may be can I simulate these key in a script?
Thanks.

Ubuntu should provide a GUI for managing the displays. Open it and it should be easy enough to choose the display to turn off. But if you must use the terminal, first type in "man xrandr".

$ xbacklight -set 0%

Although I don't think it actually turns it off. It basically sets the brightness to 0, which you could do with an echo 0 > to the /sys/class/backlight/.... whatever applies as well.

Hi!
Thanks for your response. I have looked in xrandr, indeed I can control only one of my screen but I'm not able to sleep my screen. I can turn it off but that's not what I want... Any idea?

The laptop's power management should take care of that. It should control both the system and the screen, probably on separate tabs, but it depends on the DE.

There is often a hardware key combination to do this on most laptops.
