chntpw failed to clear win10 password

I urgently need to bypass Windows 10 login screen on my dual boot laptop. So I made a Ubuntu Live CD and install chntpw as advised. The problem is that the password is still there after that. Any alternative package available other than chntpw?

A lot of windows 10 systems are not local users. They are connected to MS logon.

It is a local user account not MS account. just confirmed with my grandpa.

To be honest,chntpw does work on Windows 10 computers,but there are many reasons for failure,after all, it is not a tool that is easy to be operated by users,you can find alternatives to chntpw on Google.

I have tried Chntpw software on my computer,and it failed just like you.I think Cain & Abel and Ophcrack are better than it.
