Unhappy checksum error when trying to boot red hat version 9 burned installation iso cd

I have an HP Pavilion zt1170 laptop. I burned the Red Hat version 9 iso images and then set my computer to boot from cd and an error message is shown saying:

ISOLINUX 2.00 2002-10-25 isolinux: Image checksum error, sorry...

Boot Failed: press a key to retry

I know the cd works because I've tried it on other computers. I tried a different HP cd rom drive but that didn't work either. Is there any way to install linux without booting from cd? (I don't have a floppy drive... maybe an online or lan installation?) Any help would be much appreciated!

Yes, you can install over network. Here's how:

It seems that ur mother board's battery is exhausted that's why linux is unable to get the correct BIOS information. Just replace ur batter and see wht happens

By mother board's battery do you mean my main laptop battery or another small watch type battery on my mother board itself? When I tried installing linux I was plugged into ac power, thanks for the suggestions though!
