Just about every PCMCIA ethernet card is supported - my preference, is the SMC Compact USB ethernet adapter, for which support was added into the kernel @ around 2.4........

FYI - module is rtl8150.o.......

Thx for answering. The reason for asking is that a new pcmcia ethernet card requires pcmcia version 2 and i don't know if this feauture is supported by the laptop described above

I would think any distro would work fine.

"I would think any distro would work fine."
You mean that any distro will work with the pcmcia hardware?

I have a 1994 laptop running Slackware 9.1 with a Cisco 340 and the NetGear ethernet adapter card.
