change filesystem and OS on a vaio without optical drive
Hello,
I have a small sony vaio without any drives or ability to boot from USB.
I would like to change the installed Ubuntuo 6.x to the newst hardy relese, the filesystem is ReiserFS.
So can I somehow change this?
Distribution: Switched to regualr Ubuntu, because I don't like KDE4, at all. Looks like vista on crack.....

Can it network boot ? Another option is to update your /etc/apt/sources.list to include the version of ubuntu you want, but you might break stuff, as they say, YMMV.
sorry but i missed to mentin that that thing does not have a ethernet port.
IT is apcg-c1vfk with crusoe CPU
I thought maybe I can resize the partition online and than replace the OS with some kind of bootloader that than can get its stuff from a USB harddrive, but wait reading the unetboot page says something about predownloaded content. great thats it i think·..
