Centrino on Knoppix

I just installed Knoppix 3.3 onto a Dell Inspiron 8600 that has a Pentium M 1.4GHz centrino chip set. It has an integrated 10/100 Network Card and Modem, and a Intel Pro 2100 miniPCI wirelesscard. I'm having trouble getting the wireless card working. I used the following link for reference since that users computer was very similar to mine:
http://folk.uio.no/staalep/i8600/

He seemed to have the wireless working right after the install. When I issue a

ifconfig eth0 up

I get the following:
bcm4400: eth0 NIC Link is Down

if i issue a wlcardconfig, I get the following:
No wireless card detected.

Does anyone know what I have to do to get this running? I'm using a linksys wireless router and it works fine from XP. Thanks for any help, and if you need more info on my laptop, then let me know and I'll post the pertinent information.

try version 0.4 now, this driver is developing quite fast. and if you really have problems getting it to work, post it on their mailing list. you could help improving it...
