CentOS 5.8 TOughbook CF-18 Mk II

Just loaded CentOS 5.8 on TB and touchpad is kinda funny, and having issues bringing up the wireless card. Tried to download the drivers for the toughbook but they're all .exe anyone know any kind of resolution as far as getting all the drivers for the toughy?

Hello!

See if these specs are correct. http://www.panasonic.com/business/to...gory=techspecs

Centos is more of a server OS. Why did you select it to use on a portable device?

With the exception of network drivers, linux can not use any windows drivers.

L0aded on the TOughy to get better acclimated to the OS for a job I got coming up, and the B00k was the Only extra computer I had laying around. I have a RHEL OS at work I use every once in awhile but I needed something to use at my own discretion and while I'm at home.

The issue here is the same as any user would find. They have some hardware that is either supported by the distro and it isn't working or they have hardware that isn't natively supported.

First I tend to see if the system is able to use the hardware then see if it needs to be configured. If not then I try to see if someone out there made a driver for my chipset or a similar chipset that I can add in. Lastly would be to use ndiswrapper for some limited network cards.
