cardmgr[52]: no sockets found!

I get this error when my system boots with my new kernel 2.6.1:

cardmgr[52]: no sockets found!

Has anyone had this or could they give me some suggestions where to start to figure this out. My card is a Xircom RealPort Ethernet 10/100+Modem 56 (REM56G-100). Thanks.
