Cannot install Redhat 8.0 on Dell Inspiron 5150

Hi there.
I need to install RH8 on my shiny new 5150, but am running into a problem when I first boot off of the CD.

It doesn't seem to matter what options I use, it always hangs at exactly this point in the boot up process.
Code:

CPU: L1 I cache: 0K, L1 D cache: 8K
CPU: L2 cache: 512K
Intel machine check architecture supported.
Intel machine check reporting enabled on CPU#0
CPU: Intel Mobile Intel(R) Pentium(R) 4    CPU 3.06GHz stepping 09
Enabling fast FPU save and restore... done.
Enabling unmasked SIMD FPU exception support... done.
Checking 'hlt' instruction... OK.
Checking for popad bug... OK.
POSIX conformance testing by UNIFIX
enabled ExtInT on CPU#0
ESR value before enabling vector: 00000000
ESR value after enabling vector: 00000000
Using local APIC timer interrupts.
calibrating APIC timer ...
..... CPU clock speed is 3056.4777 Mhz.
..... host bus clock speed is 0.0000 Mhz.
cpu: 0, clocks: 0, slice: 0

Anyone have any ideas? If I haven't been descriptive enough just yell at me, I'm a total :newbie: here : )

Thanks in advance

edit: I thought that I should add in advance that I've already dug through Linux-laptop.net, as well as searched this here forum (along with every where else I could think to look.) and found both jack and squat : / .

Dell use there ownRedHat build. This is because some of the dell hardware is slightly weird. Try an updated version like redhat 9, or switch to mandrake. Mandrake is probally the most suited to a laptop computer in my experience

i find that statement incorrect, i have yet to find a distro that was not well suited for my inspiron8500, as of now its pimping slack 9.1 and has been known to run bsd and debian.

ohh ok, im just saying that with some hardware, you may want to look into speaking to dell about aqureing there ver of redhat.

i have no experience wiht slackware, so i dont knwo how good it is at running on laptops, let alone dell laptops.
