Can not install RHEL on a Compaq CQ40-601TU


I have recently purchased Compaq CQ40-601TU Laptop. I want to install RHEL 5.0 on this laptop. But while installtion it ask for select driver for sata device and lan. I think this version has not drivers for Intel Mobile G45 Chipset sata drivers. How can I download new drivers and use it to install RHEL 5.0? can anybody help me?

Nope, not urgent for ANYONE here. We volunteer our time, so telling us to hurry up and answer you is rude.

Unless you're paying for a support subscription to RedHat for Enterprise Linux support, don't install it. Also, RHEL5.0 is old, and is not the latest version. If you ARE paying for RHEL support, call them...they're there for **URGENT** problems 24/7 for you.

Try installing something not only current, but community supported. Maybe a distro that was designed for consumer-grade hardware, not servers in an enterprise. Try openSUSE, Ubuntu, Mandriva, or (if you think you need RHEL), CentOS.
