Unhappy can't wake up system after sleep, always black screen with mouth shadow

Hi all,

i have a problem to wake system up after sleep of my Lenovo T60 with Fedora 12. my laptop was sleep immediately when i close the lid, later it's up with a black screen when i rise the lid. but no graph any more, just black screen with the icon of mouse shadow when i move the mouse. can do nothing on this. the only things i do is CTRL + ALT + Del, this could make my system power off. i don't know how to change this. i tried to change the option of lid close to black screen, but it's not work, always sleep the computer after close lid of my box. any one got same problem? any idea to solve this? any suggestion is appreciate.

Hi,

It sounds like X is crashing.
Check your log files after it happens, that should yield something to put in Google.

Also, instead of 'Ctrl + Alt + Del', try 'Ctrl + Alt + Backspace' to restart X.

If this doesn't work, try 'Ctrl + Alt + F1', login when prompted and run one of the following:

Gnome:
Code:
$ sudo /etc/init.d/gdm restart
KDE:
Code:
$ sudo /etc/init.d/kdm restart
Hope this helps.
