can't install smartlink driver for modem
Hi!
I’m trying to install a smartlink driver for my modem and I had such an error when I wrote “make” in the directory slmdm-2.7.8: In file included from kernel-ver.c:47: /usr/include/stdio.h:329:12: invalid suffix "d26aa98" on integer constant In file included from kernel-ver.c:47: /usr/include/stdio.h:329: error: syntax error before numeric constant /usr/include/stdio.h:330: error: `sprintf_R_ver_str' declared as function returning a function …. make: *** [kernel-ver.o] Error 1 This kernel-ver.o is included in the smartlink driver, it seems it cannot be compiled. So is something wrong with the driver or should I change my stdio.h file? Can my distro have some flaws in /usr/include/stdio.h? I have also tried slmodem versions, then I was informed kindly (!) that the drivers included unresolved symbols and insmod slamr failed, so I’m really unable to handle it. Any help please??? |
I have successfully installed version 2.7.10-debug of this drive on a Mandrake 9.2 distro, after many failed trials with other versions such as 2.7.14 and 2.9.6.
Just followed the Readme instructions and things went as expected |
