can't install smartlink driver for modem
 

Hi!

I’m trying to install a smartlink driver for my modem and I had such an error when I wrote “make” in the directory slmdm-2.7.8:

make: *** [kernel-ver.o] Error 1

This kernel-ver.o is included in the smartlink driver, it seems it cannot be compiled. So is something wrong with the driver or should I change my stdio.h file? Can my distro have some flaws in /usr/include/stdio.h?

I have also tried slmodem versions, then I was informed kindly (!) that the drivers included unresolved symbols and insmod slamr failed, so I’m really unable to handle it. Any help please???

I have successfully installed version 2.7.10-debug of this drive on a Mandrake 9.2 distro, after many failed trials with other versions such as 2.7.14 and 2.9.6.
Just followed the Readme instructions and things went as expected
