Can't increase screen size (newbie)
Just installed Ubuntu 7.04 with the text version CD. All went well except the screen size is too small. I tried to change to a different resolution but there were only two options for the resolution. I am just starting out in Linux so please give instructions in very simple terms.

Hi there,
Can you show us the contents of file /etc/X11/xorg.conf? It is the X configuration file and is where you can change your X screen size, color deep, etc. |
How do I get to the contents of the file in question? I am brand new to Linux. I apologize for being so clueless but will catch on quickly.

1.- Let's go to the arena: open a console
2.- Become administrator: su root 3.- Get file contents: cat /etc/X11/xorg.conf 4.- Give it to us: Copy'n'Paste on LinuxQuestions |
