can't dual boot xp and linux...help...


greetings you all linux monsters,


i am a new born linux geek and trying to install suse 11 on my laptop pc.

260 gigs of hard drive.

windows pre-installed,

i have made
swap of 8 gigs
/ of 102 gbs

and asked boot loader grub.

every thing installed fine.

but when it finished...

i don't get the option for choosing os.

it smoothly boots on windows xp.

but i want dual boot

with option of having boot on both windows and linux
boot loader is installed in root path.


i hope to get some help...

as toddler is learning....

So you change where GRUB should be installed if you like to dual boot ,
namely in MBR anyhow that is most linux users do
But if you like it you can use boot.ini to boot linux but that seems to be tricky
