This is great news. Now to the matter of installing a Linux distribution.

Unfortunately Debian does not support secure boot which is likely why it didn't work in UEFI mode. If your Windows 10 was pre-installed with secure boot on it may not be possible to turn it off.

You will need to use a secure boot compatible distro such as Ubuntu, Fedora, openSUSE, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux/Centos.
