Bydefault APIPA is assigned to LAN Card.

Dear all,
Suddenly my laptop is taking IP Address from APIPA range automatically. When I set static IP address to my lan card, after sometime it automatically assigns APIPA IP address. When it assign APIPA IP address, and i check the #cat /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth1 ,It shows static ip address instead APIPA IP address. This problem occurs when i connect internet. When i run #ifconfig,It shows APIPA IP address but when i run #setup>network-configuretion,It show static IP address. What it the cause and how can i solve this problem. Please tell me.

Thanks and regards
Amit.
