Broadcom 4318

I have an HP zv6000 custom laptop with a BCM4318 wlan card. I would really like to have everything running with linux, but I am having trouble getting the wireless network going. I've tried a few distros, opensuse, fedora C6, ubuntu, but to no avail. ndiswrapper wasn't being helpful either. Does anyone know if linuxant could help? I have the (windows) driver for the card on cd. I'm very new to linux and started to get frustrated, so any help is greatly appreciated and don't be afraid to dumb it down!!

With FC6 the wireless interface support is broken with the bcm43xx kernel module. You need to black list this in order to use ndiswrapper.
