Boot linux from external 1394...

Hi.

My Toshiba 3005-S307 laptop lets me choose to boot from:
Hard disk, CD-rom, Removable Media

Question:
Can Linux boot/run from an external firewire drive in any way?

Thank you.

I have a dell X200, and all it has is a firewire drive. I can confirm that it works, although you may need to reload the firewire modules after it is booted. Some of the newer CDs come with full support for firewire and don't require you to reload anything. Good luck.
