No mic

Hello Mike, does Skype work for you?
I installed Eeebuntu 3.0 NBR on 701 4G but cannot configure the mic.
I'm afraid that only Xandros allows me to skype.

Installation was flawless and I am very happy with the results.
Now the fun starts, thanks again.

Hello Robert, sorry I don't use Skype so I can't help you.
By the way, you mentioned that you installed NBR 3.0 have you had any issues besides this one? I'm considering upgrading from 2.0 to 3.0 but don't want to give myself a bunch of problems since 2.0 is working fine.

Mike, NBR 3.0 worked fine on my 701 4G. I installed /home on an extra 2G SD card to get more space. But now I'm back to Xandros because I need the mic. Too bad, I like Ubuntu but the mic issue spoiled it.

Did you check the links I gave you in post #4 ?
Lots of customised 'buntus for the eee are listed on the first page of the eee wiki.

mic problem solved

No, my search with keyword mic didn't show post #4. But now you led me to

http://wiki.eeeuser.com/eeedora:issues?s[]=skype#microphone_doesn_t_work_with_skype_-_fixed

which solved the problem. Thank you!
