Question Best distro of Linux for my Pentium 100 mhz w/16mb ram

hey I just got an old laptop for free.. It is a Pentium 100 mhz with only 16 megs of ram and a 1 gig hard drive.. I want to know the best distro of linux to throw on it just so i can brush up on all my linux commands and stuff. I dont care about a GUI, I just want to learn and maybe set up some network connections.

It loaded knoppix STD without the GUI but took a while... So what should I install? I just remembered that I have DSL so maybe Ill try that.. otherwise, what would be best?

Either that or Free-BSD if you're feeling brave
