BENQ A53 Joybook- boot fail after install
 

dear friends,
I have installed fedora 9 on my benq joybook A53 laptop.after installation complete it rebooted to the grub menu to select kernal to boot, when I select a kernal it goes to a blank screen and cannot go futher. i tried with rebooted it from linux rescue mode from the dvd and edited xorg.conf file and rebooted in normal mode again, then it booted in to the X windows system with nomal reselution. after i configure all thing and rebooted again it became to the blank again.then I need to reconfigure xorg.conf again with the linux rescue mode. can some one help me to fix this problem please.:confused:

120GB HDD
SiS 771/671 Graphic card

Can you provide more info about your graphics card?

Edit /etc/X11/xorg.conf in the proper way:

1. The 'driver' line in the device section should be correct

2. Get the correct horizontal and vertical freq for your monitor.

3. Try to use modelines to restrict probing
