battery ac_adaptor not detected

k here it goes. I have a ACER travelmate 4002LCi laptop. after a long struggle i got everything to work on it fine ecxept for the battery status. I'm not able to read the status in kpowersave. i checked /proc/acpi and batteyr and ac adaptor folders are empty. after a lot of research i found a lot of forums with DSDT compains. I recorded the dsdt and compiled it with intel tools with no errors or warnings. still no good. i tryed to pass a Os name to acpi becuase dsdt was checking for the OS name, still no good. got 2.6.10 with acpi patch, still no good. if anybody had a similar problem please dont be shy.

Did you compile ACPI as a module, or right in the kernel itself?
