Few programs I have tried to install, today I tried to install itunes. However same with every other application, the message comes up 'An error occurred while loading the archive.' with a sub heading of 'command line output'. Any ideas?

Itunes does not run natively on Linux. There are alternative programs that support Itune but as I don't use them I am unsure of which ones they are.

I'm sure that Mandriva has a package manager. Use that to install programs. Also, if there is no Linux equivalent to the program you want, install 'Wine' and use that to install a windows program.

Hope this helps.
