HI!
Does anyone know were to find a driver for my ATI mobility. I run
SUSE 9.0 and want to run a better resolution than 800*600...

Thanks!

hmm, ati mobility should be 1024x768, i think it's a matter of vram...
if your problem is the framebuffer try setting vga=791 in your bootloader
if it's X, rerun the X configurator

I

don't think that is the problem. I can see that my graphic card isn't activated due to the lack of driver?
Is there by any means possible to get the driver?

If you don't want 3d acceleration or 2d acceleration (you'r just doing internet and word processing) then the frame buffer should be your ticket. It sounds like you need to rerun the setup for XFree86 or Suse might have a tool in their control panel that will allow you to configure the screen resolution. I've never used Suse so I don't know what it is called but it should be there.

You need to edit your /etc/XF86Config file. First try running XF86Config to see if you can change it with the easy setup program. If not, find where in the file it has "modes", and add your resolution there. You may need to add some modelines. If this is confusing try man XF86Config.
