Asus Transformer Mini T-102-HA issues

Hello there friends

Newbie warning! Okay I installed Bodhi Linux 5.0 yesterday and its fantastic apart from just two niggles that I would like help with to iron them out.

Firstly when I boot into Linux it boots up into portrait mode and I can fix it with going into ArandR because my touchscreen still works (thank goodness) however its not a permemant fix because when I boot up again it's in portrait once more, rinse and repeat.

The second isn't really a big issue, I just want to know why, I have the temperature gadget/widget loaded up on the panel/shelf and it reads a ridiculous temperature, we are talking 900°C+. I find it a little amusing when I see it.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Hello

Thank you for the links but I have a slight problem, I am not sure exactly how to follow the instructions. I take it that in the first link they are speaking about directories and running from these directories, are they speaking of running the terminal from the directories? I am not too sure, I am sorry for sounding stupid/noobish. This is a bit of a learning curve for me at the moment.

Thanks
