I have no experience with RHEL but I've used various wireless mice on various Linux flavours and various laptops including ASUS and never had a problem.

I presume it comes with a USB receiver that you plug in to the laptop?

Well something is definitely wrong there ... I don't know what those errors mean but it looks like it can't initialise the USB mouse support and disconnects the device.

Any chance you have or can borrow another wireless mouse and see if that works? To see if this mouse needs an extra driver, or if there is something up with your USB support.

Alright. Thanks for your help though.
The same mouse works fine in guest rhel6 installed under vmware workstation on windows7 host.
Seems vmware tool made driver available. But its not working on physically installed rhel6.
I will have to play more then :P

IMHO just give up on the wireless mouse and use a regular USB mouse. Linux in general works best with mainstream generic hardware. Use a USB hub if you run out of USB ports.

To me, wireless mice are mainstream generic hardware, and work fine with Linux. It's just this particular one that's not working.
