I can't get my MS Surface Pro to boot any Linux from a USB stick. I've turned off boot protect, the UEFI stuff, etc. Still, no boot.
This is the same stick that I can boot from numerous other systems (HP workstations, HP laptop, Dell desktop computer, etc).
I've researched all the common stuff on the internet with suggestions, and none work. What I can't find is someone who has *actually* got it working for themselves or a family member, etc. That is, someone who has personally got it working.
--> Anyone here got Linux working on a MS Surface Pro via the USB port from a USB memory stick?
Thanks for your kind response, however, this article is for how to install on the hard drive.
For several reasons, this is different than an install on a USB stick as far for the Surface Pro is compared. It really shouldn't be that big a deal as for the difference, yet, in this case - it's all the difference. I believe the next suggestion for a Debian load would be more helpful.
But, thank you for your response. I appreciate the effort.
