Alsa problem

I have major alsa problem on my toshiba satellite 5000-104 with slackware 9.1

try adding this to /etc/modules.conf or it's equivalent in Slack...

options sound dmabuf=1

No luck lupin_the_3rd, it doesn't make any difference at all unfortunatly... I think I am not far from downgrading to slack 9.0... A shame but obviously slack 9.1 is funny when it comes to sound. They are so many posts on the slack forum about sound issues...
