alinux on a Tecra 8200

I'm a complete n00b, but I really want to learn, I've had a look @ alot of distro's usin live cd's, but the visualness of alinux makes me want to use this as my base system, (break me into the linux world gently like)

Trouble is, I run the setup and it says somethin along the lines of (sorry I'm remembering this off the top of my head cause of being in work, will post exact syntax later)

unknown logitech device found
says something about the mouse here
(flashing cursor here)

and it just stays there and does nothing else unless I press ctrl, alt and del

Am I barking up the wrong tree trying to get alinux working on my 8200 or is it just a case of booting the setup with a few params set.

I really am a novice to all this and are infact a windows technician, but I want to broarden my horizons and learn linux for my personal use.

Thanks for reading

Jabb3r.

Well after w8n for a reply, it seemed that everyone was pretty clueless?

So anyway I went to linux.org and followed there really good tutorial and used the debian distro like they used and everythin seems fine so far.

Only prob is that linux is not at the resolution my laptop obviously can do cause of the big black border around gnome, it's set to 800x600 and on the gui theres no other option so I guess I need to edit a file somewhere?

The weird thing is I chose 1024x768 on install so somrthing hasn't gone right mebe.

Cheers
