Try using "lsusb" and/or "lspci". Chances are, lsusb will bring it up, and show you something.
Bus 005 Device 002: ID 0402:5603 ALi Corp. USB 2.0 Q-tec Webcam 300
is the output under lsusb
Ok...try the SN9Cxxxx module (check your system; "find / -name sn9c*" for the module name). From what I read, that may support the Q-Tec 300 webcam. This page http://www.linux-projects.org/module...wcat.php?cid=5 (specifically, the videoview application), seems to work with that cam, or at least can detect it.
Your mileage may vary, though. I've also seen that listed as an unsupported device, although the q-tec 120 is supported. Good luck.
