Agere Systems AC'97 Modem on HP Compaq nx9105
 

I've searced the forum but didn't find something that could help me.

My distribution is Slackware 10 (in future I plan to make LFS). Touchpad and other devices work nice, exept modem. This WinToy doesn't want to run under Linux :(

So... I don't know what to do. Google and other searches for its driver didn't give any results... the best I found was linmodems.org :(

Who had the same problem? Help please...

agere winmodem issue w/suse 9.2
 

My modem seems to be present, and I configured it with YaST, but when I try to right click the internet connection icon and click "dial up", it doesn't work (gives an error on the log, can't connect for whatever reason). Any help on this? I'm a newbie to all of this

the modem is also an agere winmodem, in a compaq presario sr1020nx desktop
