Advice on a Turion64 X2 based laptop

Hi guys,

I am looking for a new laptop. To make it simple, here is what I am looking for:

1. Turion64 x2 CPU
2. Nvidia 7600GT or better
3. 15.4" screen max (It still needs to be portable) :D
4. Non-broadcom network card. I guess broadcom is OK if I can swap it out (I have two atheros cards (mini PCI and mini PCI Express) sitting next to me)

Beyond that, I can upgrade or make it work. I prefer a large hard drive, lots of ram, and all that stuff.

Here is what I am looking at:

Asus Z92T shell (Includes motherboard, video card (7600GT), wireless card, screen, and everything else except the CPU, Hard drive, and RAM. Does anybody know how well this works? Does sound work properly on this board? Anybody heard of any issues?

Thanks.

I am using an ACER Aspire 5102WLMi, with an AMD turion 64 x2 , 1G DDR2 ram , 100g HD , Athereos wireless , ATI Radeon Express 1100 graphics , running slamd64. Great laptop ! Whatever Distro you choose, be sure your kernel supports your dual core processor. I recompiled mine, now this thing really SMOKES!:D :D :D

Hmm, I'm not a big fan of acer...or the video card. Thanks for the reply though.
