Acpi on Red Hat 9 with Asus L2480

I've a problem with my Red Hat 9.

All work fine but if i recompile the kernel with acpi's support the battery applet doesn't work on my asus l2480.

With Mandrake (9.1) it's ok.

Help me.

do you have acpid running? if not, download it from sourceforge
and did you leave apm in the kernel? if yes, boot with append="apm=off" ...

if you do those, it should work ... if it doesn't, try downloading a newer acpi patch if you didn't ...
