ACPI lid close on Inspiron 6000 with ATI x300
In my effort to conserve energy (as well as keep my laptop from buring up all my sperm cells), I am trying to get the lid close (suspend) working with no luck.
Acpid detects the lid close in KDE and fires off my script (lidbtn.sh) and my script sucessfully puts the laptop to sleep, but when I open the lid back up, I never get a display back. I can hear my hard drive and DVD spin back up, but otherwise I have no indication of what the laptop is doing. I have tried a number of executbles like vbetest, radeontool, video_post, etc that I have seen used by others (not with my exact configuration however)
What do you think is happening?
Any way I can debug and track this problem down?
Thanks
