I'm using Slackware 10.1 with kernel 2.6.11.11 on a Compaq v2010US. I've got acpid configured and running; upon closing the lid, the system suspends quite nicely. Obviously, ACPI support is built into the kernel.

Unfortunately, upon opening the lid, the thing immediately reboots. Otherwise everything is fine. The screen comes back with no issue, input works from even the USB keyboard, etc. (I did just now got an error about a small and entirely recoverable error occurring on CPU 0, but that's the first I've seen, and everything progressed like normal -- albeit not the way I'd hoped.)

If anybody has any insight I would appreciate it very much. I saw only one post with this same issue, and it was from January with no replies whatsoever, so ...
