acpi events?

hello

does anyyone know where acpi events are documented? I dont know where to look what events exist at all... I know of an event: "power putton.*" but dont know any further events. where should this be documented, so that I can write appropriate scripts for all events?

Thanks

Hello,

Sorry I don't have any answers, I'm with the same problem...I got ACPI working (had to patch kernel and fix DSDT table), now my linux boots with ACPI enabled but I can't seem to do anything useful with it, except for the battery readings. I want to get Speedstep working and the Thinkpad button here on my laptop, Did you install acpi and acpid?
I also tried echoing the settings to /proc/acpi by doing e.g echo 1 > /proc/acpi/processor/CPU0/performance but nothing happens, any ideas?

Thanks

When in doubt, go straight to the source:

http://acpi.sourceforge.net/documentation/

I can't find a prebuilt collection of good acpi scripts either, but this is the best place to look into rolling your own.

Cheers,

Finegan
