acpi + battery + IBM Thinkpad R51
 

when i cat /proc/acpi/battery/BAT0/state my battery remaining capacity doesnt change but my battery still charges none the less, this is a problem for various reasons...the main one being i have no idea what % i have left, which um sucks to say the least.


acpi support is installed into the kernel with all the options (battery, fan, cpu) of that nature installed as well.

anyone with ideas on how to remedy this are thanked in advance.

oh and im running Debian (rc2 vanilla sources, i think) with the 2.6.9 kernel.
