Acer TravelMate Graphics Resolution

I have installed openSuse 10.0 on my Acer TravelMate 4010 Laptop. Every thing has been fine but I cannot get the resolution to 1280x800.

Suse correctly recognized my graphics card. It is identifying the monitor as a QDS Quanadisplay monitor. I'm not sure this is correct. There is an option to chose an Acer display, but my particular model is not an option in the list.

Has anyone had a similar problem? Can you please suggest a fix?

Thanks,

Aaron

Have you tried adding "1280x800" to the Screen section of /etc/X11/xorg.conf?

1280x800 is already in the xorg.conf file.

i have "Generic Monitor" for my laptop, it works fine. there's probably a better choice or an LCD-/laptop-specific one, but this works so i just left it. YMMV
