Acer Ferrari on Knoppix?
Hello...
I got an Acer Ferrari 3000LMi, and i'm thinking about trying Knoppix. But i'm wondering if there should be any problems on it.
I haven't tried any Linux systems before, so i'm thinking to start with Knoppix, is it good for at newbie like me?

Knoppix is an excellent choice because it will not install anything to your hard drive - it all runs off the CD. It's a really nice way to start getting used to Linux without worrying about interfering with your existing Windows installation. The hardware detection is very good and you should be up and running with almost no hassle at all.
Over time, once you are comfortable with Linux, the next step would be to set up your machine as a dual boot Windows / Linux box, and then (hopefully) the final step would be to go 100% Linux. Good luck with it and welcome to LQ. -- J.W.
