Acer Aspire One shutdown problems.

Everytime I shutdown my netbook, the last thing I see the the md: Unmounting local drive (/) and I get an error stating that the device is busy (does this twice) before shutting down/rebooting. This is a problem since everytime I reboot, it fscks my 8GB SSD.

The only thing that seems to keep this from happening is if I use the -n switch for the `shutdown' command.

Is there a way to fix or determin which process is not being killed properly on a regular shutdown?

Does this happen with the original OS or did you change it? There's a well working kernel for Ubuntu from Array.org, that's why I ask - and they've recently fixed similar issues. Maybe you should also de-swap-ify your installation; there's a good description of a doable procedure on the Ubuntu Eee website.
